All the Shoes on Display at Louis Vuitton’s Nike Air Force 1 Exhibition
As we learned on Tuesday, Louis Vuitton’s Nike Air Force 1 collaboration that was orchestrated by the late Virgil Abloh will be on full display at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn this week. The space, known as the Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh exhibition, will be open to the public starting tomorrow, May 21 through May 31 and will showcase all 47 iterations of the French luxury fashion house’s collaborative Air Force 1s.
A majority of the styles were initially previewed during the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2022 runway show around this time last year but upon further inspection, there are a handful of previously unseen pairs that were also on display including a pair donning what appears to be a Los Angeles Lakers-inspired purple and gold makeup as well as one pair covered in fur.
As confirmed by Louis Vuitton on Tuesday, nine colorways from the group are set to release in June via a digital activation but the sneakers will be made available first to the Maison’s community prior to the general launch. The confirmed US pricing is $2,750 for the Air Force 1 Low and $3,450 for the Air Force 1 Mid.,
In addition to the exhibition, Louis Vuitton has placed large glass boxes of graphic globe sculptures around New York City coinciding with the space including at Domino Park, Grand Central, South Street Seaport, Astor Place, Columbus Circle, Flatiron Plaza, and Gansevoort Plaza.
