Nike Drops 75th Anniversary Shoe Honoring Jackie Robinson
This year is a very special year for Dodgers fans and for baseball fans in general. On April 15th, we will all be celebrating the 75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball. The league has a slate of events lined up to celebrate the anniversary, including teams wearing the blue 42 that adorns jerseys in Los Angeles.
But Nike Outlet is coming out with their own special something this year as well. The shoe and apparel company announced that they would be releasing Jackie Robinson Dunk Lows in honor of the Dodgers legend, which will be coming out on the 15th.
The shoes are really something special to look at, adorned with all sorts of things in reference to Jackie. The Dodgers-inspired color scheme really pops out on these shoes, and the tongue features a 75 to celebrate the special anniversary. All I ask is that you respect me as a human being” on the insoles of the sneaker. There is also a number 42 on the heel as well as laces that include a blue version of the stitching of a baseball.
